Condition & Flaws

Condition: Pre-owned, Vintage condition.

Flaws: The garment exhibits pilling (bobbling) and micro-pulls/snags across the fabric, which is very common for poly-cotton sports knits of this era. A specific small snag is pointed out in the provided detailed photo. Despite the surface wear, the elbow pads and overall structure remain highly intact.

Authenticity Assessment: Authentic vintage equipment. The neck tag displaying "Made in West Germany" alongside the 58/42 poly-cotton blend firmly dates this piece to the mid-to-late 1980s, prior to German reunification in 1990. The classic Adidas Trefoil logo further confirms its era and legitimacy.

Rarity: Very Rare. While standard retro outfield shirts circulate frequently, original West German-manufactured goalkeeper jerseys featuring the built-in padding and classic number "1" print are considered grail pieces by kit collectors.
