Klaus Bugdahl was one of Germany’s most successful cyclists, particularly renowned for his dominance in six-day track races, where he competed in 228 events and won 37, often partnering with legends such as Eddy Merckx and Patrick Sercu. He was a multiple-time German and European champion in track disciplines and also had a strong road racing career, winning the national road championship in 1958, the Tour de l’Oise in 1959, and a stage of the Tour de Suisse in 1963. His enduring career spanned from 1954 to 1978, concluding with his final six-day race in Milan at the age of 43.

Brett Horton acquired this beautiful jersey directly from Patrick Sercu while attending the 2006 Six Day in Ghent. Sercu partnered with Bugdahl many times throughout their racing careers.
