This vintage 1996 D.C. United home jersey comes from Major League Soccer's inaugural season and features the club's iconic black colorway with three white horizontal chest stripes, a ribbed polo-style collar with a single-button closure, and the original embroidered D.C. United crest. Manufactured in the USA by adidas, it represents one of the earliest official MLS jerseys produced during the league's debut campaign.

D.C. United enjoyed one of the greatest inaugural seasons in North American soccer history, winning the 1996 MLS Cup after defeating the LA Galaxy and completing a remarkable league-and-cup double by also capturing the 1996 U.S. Open Cup. Led by legendary coach Bruce Arena and stars such as Marco Etcheverry, Jaime Moreno, and Eddie Pope, the club established itself as the first dynasty of Major League Soccer.
