📝About this Jersey

This striking vintage adidas goalkeeper shirt represents a classic goalkeeper template used across European club football and international competition during the 1970s and early 1980s. The vivid green body, black polo collar, black cuffs, and three black adidas stripes running down the sleeves form a distinctive goalkeeper design that appeared in different club and national-team applications during the era. Archival imagery shows closely matching versions of this adidas template worn by Miguel Ángel with Real Madrid, Pedro Valentín Mora and Pello Artola with FC Barcelona, Jimmy Rimmer with Aston Villa, Jean-Paul Bertrand-Demanes with FC Nantes, and Émerson Leão with Brazil.

The Real Madrid connection is particularly notable, with the club using an adidas green-and-black goalkeeper kit during the 1975-76 season, worn by Miguel Ángel and Mariano García Remón. Similar adidas goalkeeper styling can also be seen in archival imagery from Barcelona, Aston Villa, Nantes, and Brazil, demonstrating how this type of adidas goalkeeper template was adopted across multiple major clubs and national teams rather than being exclusive to one team. The Brazil connection is especially notable through Émerson Leão, who wore adidas goalkeeper designs during the 1970s and was Brazil's starting goalkeeper at the 1978 World Cup.
