The story behind this shirt: December 14, 2014, Estadio Azteca, second leg of the Apertura 2014 Final. America beat Tigres 3-0 (3-1 on aggregate) to win their 12th league title, which made them the most successful club in Mexican league history, one title ahead of Chivas. Michael Arroyo opened the scoring in the 36th minute and celebrated by jumping on Miguel Layun's back. Pablo Aguilar headed in the second in the 61st minute, and Oribe Peralta closed the night in the 78th. Tigres' Dario Burbano was sent off for bringing Layun down as he broke through on goal. Wearing the captain's armband and the #19, Layun lifted the trophy that night. About two weeks later he left for Europe, so this final was his farewell as America's captain.

Approximate measurements (laid flat): pit to pit about 21.5 in (55 cm); length from the top of the collar to the hem about 30 in (76 cm). See measurement photos.
